Essay 0

Hey y’all. I used to post data science and vaguely technical tutorials here, but had a long hiatus. I’m (thinking of) coming back to this platform, but maybe not in the way you might expect.

I’ve been writing again. Mostly essays to help me think through my feelings, reactions to external events and general motivations. It’s been very healthy for me.

And also, I’ve realized that I’m terrible at it! My writing muscles have completely atrophied. And there’s no better way to tone those muscles than to start writing publicly again.

I’m not sure what this space will be. For now I’m thinking essays about tech and how it intersects with culture, behavior, blah blah blah. What I’m trying to say is that I have training wheels on — expect fluidity.

It felt weird to post without saying nothing, so enter Essay 0. A low stakes re-introduction back into this space. I know this is entirely superfluous and few people will care. I know this is kind of embarrassing. But also writing is embarrassing; and I have to put myself in that headspace and be okay with it.
